CBG
CBG, or Cannabigerol is one of over 100 cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. Unlike THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), it does not have any psychoactive properties—meaning it will not get you “high” like THC can. Instead, it interacts with the body's endocannabinoid system (ECS) to produce various physiological effects such as pain relief, improved mood, or increased cognitive function.
As research continues around CBG, scientists are revealing that it has numerous therapeutic properties, namely anti-inflammatory properties, which can offer relief for many people. Due to the fact that the majority of the ailments we experience are associated with inflammation, CBG could be the answer that we have been waiting for. Once we can reduce inflammation, there is a good chance that overall pain levels and other symptoms will also reduce or even disappear.
Research has shown that CBG may help with:
Pain & Inflammation - CBG has been found to reduce pain due to its anti-inflammatory properties. Especially when used in combination with CBD.
Stress & Anxiety - One study found that when subjects used CBG-based Cannabis the “majority [reported] their conditions were "very much improved" or "much improved" by CBG.”
Enhancing the Effects of THC - When using CBG in combination with THC, the two cannabinoids work together and create a more powerful "entourage effect". Using the two together can provide greater relief than using just one or the other.
